Aubrey | Glioblastoma

Aubrey born April, 2010. Diagnosed with Glioblastoma. Gained her wings March 2017.

Forever 6 years old.

Aubrey had an outgoing personality. She lit up the room with her smile and left an impression on everyone she met. Aubrey had gentle kind ways and enjoyed sharing and caring for others. Aubrey would say “mommy we must treat everyone the same even if they are different”. Family was everything to Aubrey.

Aubrey’s journey to this horrific illness started with headaches. She was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) and the survival chances were less than 20%. ‘I felt my heart break that day, never in my wildest dream would I think I was going to lose my daughter’. Aubrey was my world my reason for living. I had done everything I could to give Aubrey a safe and fun childhood and yet here I couldn’t save her from this horrible sickness. While taking both Chemo and radiation the cancer continued to spread. Aubrey was given a short time to live. Aubrey at age 6 in her last days was strong, “don’t cry mommy, be strong!” One day while driving in the car Aubrey said to me “mommy I have a purpose here on earth it’s to help children” this was before she was sick. In Aubrey’s short life she impacted many. Her kind and generous legacy continues through family who honor her birthday by giving gifts to children fighting childhood cancer.
