My cancer has taken away my whole senior year. A big loss to me is not being able to have my senior season on my school’s track team after being a state qualifier for the past 3 years. It has also stolen my ability to be a normal teenager. Although all of that is negative, I have experienced other positive things such as meeting many very amazing people. I’m planning on heading to U of A in the fall to study children’s oncology. One thing I’d like to say to my cancer is “I’m stronger than you are!”
