Carry A Bead

The Carry a Bead program recruits caring individuals to share their strength and courage with a child or teen coping with a serious illness through the connection of beads. Individuals will Carry a Bead with them during the event while infusing the bead with good intentions and caring. The bead that is carried is then returned to Beads of Courage to become an Act of Courage bead, given to children on tough treatment days. Each participating individual will receive a matched bead to remind them of their shared strength and commitment to care.

Give the Gift of Life

You could be the difference to a child with cancer. Blood and bone marrow are two of the most important donations needed by children undergoing cancer treatment, and the need for blood and marrow is constant. Your donation could literally save a life. In an effort to help, CHAMP is proud to have Be the Match on site during our event. We need donors like you to help be the cure.

Bone Marrow Drive

Give a few minutes of your time to be screened for the National Bone Marrow registry. The cure for blood cancers like leukemia is in the hands of ordinary people like you!

The Be the Match Registry is the connection between patients searching for a cure and life-saving bone marrow donors. As the largest and most diverse donor registry in the world, Be the Match helps more patients get the transplant they need. Be The Match Registry is operated by the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP), a nonprofit organization that’s dedicated to creating an opportunity for all patients to receive the marrow or umbilical cord blood transplant they need, when they need it. It is the largest and most diverse donor registry in the world. Their partnerships with international and cooperative registries provide doctors with access to nearly 24.5 million potential donors and more than 622,000 cord blood units worldwide.

Blood Drive

Blood transfusions are an essential part of the treatment for children on Chemotherapy. Please donate, to save a life.
