5K

Run to beat the clock or walk at your own pace to recognize the children who have fought, are fighting, or yet to be diagnosed with Childhood Cancer.   Runners are encouraged to fundraise as a team or individually. All proceeds will directly benefit participating non-profit organizations that help fight childhood cancer. Breakfast

Share a delicious breakfast with fellow Childhood Cancer Supporters, families of Cancer Warriors, and our own Champions. Breakfast is included in with every race registration fee. We also invite our spectators and supporters to join the breakfast in exchange for a small donation.

Champion/Survivor Walk

The cancer survivor walk is a short loop walk that celebrates our champions who are present and those who have passed away.  Free to all participants, but only cancer survivors need to register.

Event attendees are encouraged to line the route during the Champion/Survivor walk, to celebrate and encourage those champions and their families.

Enjoy fun family activities, be entertained and learn about the organizations which serve the childhood cancer population of Arizona.

Establish a network with childhood cancer supporters and other families.

Carry A Bead

The Carry a Bead program recruits caring individuals to share their strength and courage with a child or teen coping with a serious illness through the connection of beads. Individuals will Carry a Bead with them during the event while infusing the bead with good intentions and caring. The bead that is carried is then returned to Beads of Courage to become an Act of Courage bead, given to children on tough treatment days. Each participating individual will receive a matched bead on a backpack clip to remind them of their shared strength and commitment to care.

Police Department

Tempe Mounted Police are performing the Opening Ceremony.  Photograph opportunities with vehicles and Officers.

Bone Marrow Drive

Give a few minutes of your time to be screened for the National Bone Marrow registry. The cure for blood cancers like leukemia is in the hands of ordinary people like you!

Blood Drive

Blood transfusions are an essential part of the treatment for children on Chemotherapy. Please donate, to save a life. In order to best serve you, please contact us to schedule a time, or sign up at the event to donate blood.
