Aubrey | Glioblastoma

Aubrey born April, 2010. Diagnosed with Glioblastoma. Gained her wings March 2017.

Forever 6 years old.

Aubrey had an outgoing personality. She lit up the room with her smile and left an impression on everyone she met. Aubrey had gentle kind ways and enjoyed sharing and caring for others. Aubrey would say “mommy we must treat everyone the same even if they are different”. Family was everything to Aubrey.

Aubrey’s journey to this horrific illness started with headaches. She was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) and the survival chances were less than 20%. ‘I felt my heart break that day, never in my wildest dream would I think I was going to lose my daughter’. Aubrey was my world my reason for living. I had done everything I could to give Aubrey a safe and fun childhood and yet here I couldn’t save her from this horrible sickness. While taking both Chemo and radiation the cancer continued to spread. Aubrey was given a short time to live. Aubrey at age 6 in her last days was strong, “don’t cry mommy, be strong!” One day while driving in the car Aubrey said to me “mommy I have a purpose here on earth it’s to help children” this was before she was sick. In Aubrey’s short life she impacted many. Her kind and generous legacy continues through family who honor her birthday by giving gifts to children fighting childhood cancer.

Aubrey’s Mom

Jacob, 16 | T-Cell Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma

I had to halt high-school for 2 years and spent long months in the hospital. I often wished I could close my eyes and sleep till it was over. I liked to build legos to keep my brain thinking and was pleasantly surprised when a donor gave me a LEGO Deathstar, which is still in my room today. Things may have been tough for me, but I knew I could do it because of all the support I got. No one ever let me see their worry, only their support.
So be sure you run with all your heart and let the fighters see your support.

Alexis | Medulloblastoma

Alexis was diagnosed with a Medulloblastoma tumor back in 2010 at the age if 7 years old.
After Radiation treatment and Chemotherapy and Gods loving hands Alexis is Cancer free at the age of 15 years old. Alexis loves God and her Mommy for always being there for her. She is in High School now and working towards college to become a teacher, Alexis journey is not over but as far as we can see the road ahead looks good! Thanks be to God!

Gwen Satterlee, 5 | ALL (Leukemia)

Music keeps Gwen singing and dancing. Gwen loves animals – especially marine animals.  She also loves coloring and building legos. Gwen would like to become a Marine biologist or animal conservationist.

Cancer sucks – let’s all work together to find a cure!

Jace, Age 5 | A.L.L.

Diagnosed with ALL in December 2015 shortly after he turned 5. He’s had a rough beginning but continues to fight and “kick cancers butt”! ALL has not stopped him from what his loves: family, sports, swimming and super heroes. He wishes to be a fire fighter when he’s all grown up!

Trinity, Age 18 | Melanoma

Trinity’s cancer journey began one Easter.  She was sent to the doctor and was diagnosed with melanoma in her lymph nodes (one on each side).  They were removed and she has been in treatment for over a year.  Trinity is now 18 years old and the most important person in her life is her Dad.  She has always been a “Daddy’s Girl” and has a close, supportive relationship with him.  The things she does that helps her smile and feel good are drawing, listening to music, plays her viola, and dance.  She has learned that her family and friends are important and how supportive they can be when she needs them.  She would like to tell her cancer “Peace out yo!”

Yaillin, Age 9 | Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

My cancer journey has been LONG!

One day, I would like to go to Disneyland because the last time I went I was too scared to go on any rides.  The next time I want to go on all of them!

When I grow up I would like to be a doctor – because I will get to help people.

I would like to tell other kids fighting cancer:  “You’ll get over it eventually”.

Mia, Age 9 | Brain Tumor

Underwent brain surgery, 32 radiation treatments and 9 rounds of chemotherapy — Now is Cancer Free!

Mia came home from school with a bad headache and her parents knew that what was going on didn't seem normal.  They took her to the hospital, tests were done, and it was determined that she had a brain tumor. As a result of her intensive treatment and surgery, she had to re-learn all basic functions such a speech and walking.  But, now at age 9, she is doing great and is cancer free.  The most important people in her life are her mom and dad because they took her to the hospital and her mom knew she wasn't okay and needed to be checked.  She has learned that her family and friends are here for her.  Shopping with her mom makes her smile and feel good.

She would like to tell her cancer, "I hate cancer!"

Macie, Age 8 | Ewing’s Sarcoma

Macie is an adorable 8 year old little girl. Her world was dumped upside down this past January 2, 2017 when she was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma. Her particular tumor destroyed her right fibula bone. Within an instant all that she loved and long for was ripped right away from her and yet she has a courageous strength. Macie is not defined by her cancer and often looks to see how she is better because of her struggles. We are all looking forward to the day when she is back in the pool doing what she loves! Swimming! She is fierce in her determination to claim back all that cancer has taken from her and her force for good in this world is amazing and inspiring! We love and are beyond proud of Macie and all that she has endured with a smile on her face!
